There’s nothing more enthralling than walking into your favorite restaurant and finding out that some of your proceeds from your meal will go to Desert Vista. Lots of local businesses are eager to participate in fundraising, and luckily these are the institutions that attract large crowds from DV. Places such as Panda Express, Sweet Tomatoes, Zwirl, Baskin Robbins, Native New Yorker, and Florencia, have held fundraisers for Desert Vista recently.
Last week, was a week full of fundraisers! To kick off the week, seniors and other people who support 2010’s Grad Nite stopped by the new Panda Express on Monday. 20% of their meal proceeds were donated to the Grad Nite fund for this year’s graduates. Latin supporters stopped by Sweet Tomatoes on Thursday anyone who ate there between 5pm-8pm had 15% of their bill put toward Latin Club.
“I didn’t go to any of the fundraisers,” said Josh Arradando, Freshman, “But I wish I did. They were all at my favorite places!”
Also, Business Internship kids paired up with Applebee’s on Wednesday and held a fundraiser there.
You never know, what you’ll get when you stop in at a local restaurant!
