Campus News:
• Attention all Rio Salado Dual Enrollment Students:
Students who need to register for spring classes should see their dual enrollment teachers for registration instructions.
Students who are already registered for Rio Dual Enrollment, should double check your student center at my.maricopa.edu and make sure that your dual enrollment registration for spring is correct.
If you have had a schedule change that affects a Rio class you will need to complete a drop/add card to correct the section number.
Also, if you haven’t already done so, it is now time to pay your spring tuition bill. If you haven’t received a bill, please access your account at my.maricopa.edu and pay through the financial summary link.
Please return all registration forms and Drop/Add cards to Mrs. Hoffman in C-265 no later than Monday, January 11.”

• Do you have a new Ipod, Iphone, or cell phone? Please consider recycling your old one in the Orchestra Room A115. Drop off your hand held old equipment and we will keep the environment safe by recycling it for you. Don’t forget room A115 it’s near the auto shop.

• Juniors wanting to exceed on the Spring AIMS tests must request an exam in person. Stop by the Counseling Office before school, after school or during lunch. February 1 at 3:30 PM is the LAST time to order a test.

• Desert Vista and Mountain Pointe High Schools, in conjunction with the University of Arizona, will be holding a college financial aid information night at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Desert Vista’s Dr. Joe McDonald Auditorium. Parents of students planning to attend any college or university are welcome to attend to learn more about scholarships, the FAFSA form, college loans, work-study, etc.
Club Meetings:

• COME JOIN THE DV ANIME (AN-EM-AY) CLUB ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 8TH, FOR THEIR SUPER SMASH BROTHERS BRAWL TEAM TOURNAMENT IN ROOM C-108. IT WILL BE $5 A TEAM TO ENTER AND NEEDS TO BE PAID THROUGH THE BOOKSTORE.

• Desert Vista Varsity Hockey won against Desert Mountain, the number 1 team in the state! Goals were made by Taylor Lang, Keanen Romero, Blake Kuehner, Vinny Branciforte, and 3 by Evan Smith. Assists by Evan Smith, Vinny Branciforte, Keanen Romero, Ryan O’Shea, Justin Gardner, Colin Bresnehan, and Jordan Nahmias. McGregor Lippincott had 17 saves. Way to go Thunder!

• Attention all football players who are not in a current sport-Voluntary workouts will take place starting today after school. Come on out and get in shape!
