Latin students continue to reach new heights in competion, including six Desert Vista  students who had the wonderful opportunity of attending the 57th National Latin Convention in Fargo, North Dakota, according to teacher Sarah Palumbo.

” These amazing students spent the week engaging in vigorous academic and creative competitions against 1500 Latin students from across the country,” she said. “Besides participating in challenging tests that examined a student’s knowledge of the ancient language, life,  and culture, they also attended a number of seminars taught by local university professors.  As a state, these students won the spirit competition for small state, 4thplace with most creative state Latin shirt, and their school scrapbook achieved 2nd place.”
