As summer approaches, many people are beginning to think about what their plans for the next two months might be. For some, their normal day consists of sleeping in and much relaxation but for others, they have more to think about.

For instance, Junior, Brooke Pyper, will be traveling down to South America. She will be going to Peru on a mission trip to expand an orphanage.

“I want to learn about the culture and help the children down there,” said Pyper. “I want to be just one of the people to make a different in the world.”

Not only is this a wonderful cultural experience but this will also help her since she would like to work with children later in life.

On the other side of the spectrum, Senior, Emily Burton, is preparing for her trip to Europe with other classmates.

“I have only been to Mexico and Canada so this will be a good experience,” said Burton. “Plus when I grow up I wan to work in museums and be a historian in Europe.”

There is not going to be much down time for Burton and the crew. They will be traveling to Spain, France, and Paris.

Sarah Gaston, Junior, is staying in Arizona but is still receiving a cultural experience too. She and a few others are traveling to Havasupai Falls, Arizona to take beautiful pictures.

“We want to go down to the Havasupai Falls to take pictures of the landscapes that are available down there,” said Gaston.

Whether their summer traveling plans are for pleasure or to work they will definitely be trips to remember.
