DVTV 09/07/11


BROOKE: On this Wednesday, September seventh, 2011…students and teachers were at school early in the math office…working hard…studying…trying to understand the mystical world of advanced arithmetic.

BROOKE: I’m Brooke Serack thanks for joining us…this is DVTV.

BROOKE: To commemorate and honor those who lost their lives ten years ago DV will be holding a memorial tomorrow from 6AM to 9PM in the ceramics room A149.

Teachers should make reservations for their classes!

BROOKE:  Sick of all the haboobs messing up your car?

TSTDC will be holding a car wash this Saturday at Yoasis from 9am to 3pm! All donations received from the car wash will go directly to support TSTDC!

Stop by, get your car washed, grab a yogurt, and donate to this incredible 8 time state championship winning team.

BROOKE: The German Club is looking for someone to design their shirts this year! Bring your cool and creative designs to Mrs. Ward’s Room H106 no later than Monday

BROOKE: An Essay Contest is open to Arizona Students grades 5 – 12 The theme is Veterans Our Resilient Heroes.  The winner will receive many prizes including a ride in the Veterans Day Parade.

The essay must be neatly typed and 300 words

BROOKE: Desert Vista is hosting the PSAT/NMSQT exam on Saturday, October 15.  Registration begins on Tuesday, September 6th for Juniors…September 14th for sophomores and Freshmen may start registering Wednesday, September 21st

BROOKE: Badminton… (pause) Did you say, huh? Well you’re not the only one. Jordan Young gives us some insight into the often overlooked sport here on campus.


BROOKE: Check out the next Badminton match tomorrow after school in the big gym! Another sport is getting started here at DV…there will be a meeting for all students interested in playing tennis. Go to C223 tomorrow to find out more
