The Ultimate Fast Food Experience

“More than 50 million people in US depend on fast food. Americans alone spend over 110 billion dollars for different types of fast food, that is over a quarter of Americans,” informs Myfit.ca web site about nutrition.

Fast food is one of the many causes of obesity in the United States. Not only is the obesity being a problem, it can lead to much more health hazards such as high cholesterol levels, arteries becoming blocked, increased risks of getting coronary diseases, and other health hazards. Fun fact of the day: The average person will consume twelve, TWELVE, pubic hairs while eating their fast food items in their life time.  Not only are health hazards an issue; fast food restaurants are not the cleanest places either.

From the Maryland Daily Report, a woman by the name of Caryl Jones ordered an Iced Tea in the McDonalds drive-thru window in Northwest Baltimore. According to her lawsuit, that is not what she received. “She received another sort of ‘T’: Triazinetrione – Dichloro-s- Traizinetrione Dihydrate, to be exact – better known as  ‘McD Sanitizer’, a cleaning chemical intended for use on kitchen equipment and surfaced,” said Foodfacts.info.

Now you’re going to second guess drinking iced tea unless it’s from your own fridge with your own chemicals.

With the disturbing truth about how McDonalds has trouble making a simple drink, all of their French fries and meat go through factories. French fries are actually made in huge factories, frozen, and then processed.

“The oils and fats are highly processed and highly fatty,” said Rose Twain, member of Brighthub.com. She also said, “Hamburgers are made in huge factories. And one hamburger can contain strips of beef from different cattle from different regions. This increases the risk of contamination as one sick cow in the batch can actually make hundreds of people fall sick in different locations of the country.”

Not only is the extremely gross, reports have been filed saying that they have found strands of hair in their food!

Not only is horrible news hitting McDonalds, has it reached KFC?  Yes, a lot of people know about how KFC can no longer take the name Kentucky Fried Chicken. Why? They don’t use real chickens! “They actually use genetically manipulated organisms. These so called ‘chickens’ are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them,” said Ditigalpoint.com. After Leanne Marino, freshman, heard the news about these “chickens” being sold at KFC, she was grossed out!

“They’re not really? Now I don’t feel like eating there anymore,” said Marino. I think a lot of people are going to feel the same way after reading that!

Freshman Taylor Smith chooses to venture to Subway where they have healthier options than McDonalds.

“I love their 6 inch salami and baked Lays chips with apple juice,” as she reads off her favorite order. True, Subway has healthier options than McDonalds, but where have you ever seen a drive thru Subway?

With the McDonalds Iced Tea disaster, and the “chickens” at KFC… I’m pretty grossed out now if you ask me. Think twice about ordering iced tea from places other than your own kitchen. How can they mess up soda? But think again, it’s McDonalds. And the deformed chickens at KFC? They look like little, featherless chickens with grown up chicken heads! And that’s what people are eating when they go to “no longer called Kentucky Fried Chicken because they don’t serve real chickens” KFC. Think again before picking a place to eat; or it will be a food experience.
