A Date from the Past

Once upon a time, our staff had libido. Even though their first dates are a thing of the past, some of them were quite memorable, whether it’s a night at the prom, or just a simple group date on a night on the town.
When it comes to first dates, many of the rules and traditions have changed since our staff’s “time”. Group dates were more common then than they are now, and as for picking up, parents were more likely to pick up and take the “groups” to their destinations. As for our staff, many teachers have had great dates to remember.
“My first date that I ever had, was a group date. We went to the movies and went ice-skating. It was a lot of fun and a great date,” said Mrs. Douglass, Science Teacher.
Going places and sharing memorable experiences can create memories for a lifetime, especially when you are looking back on them. For some, their first date was on a very special night during their high school experience.
“For my first date, Mrs. (Sheila) Thomas and I went to prom in a group. It really wasn’t the date that I wanted, but I was looking forward to going. I was nervous about having food on my face, because we went to dinner and were eating in front of guys,” said Dr. Anna Battle, Principal.
Hopefully someday, we will all remember our first dates, just like our staff has. First dates are something that you look forward to going, and will hopefully have you keeping flashbacks for a long time.
