The difference between fun and danger

So you think you can bring that fun paint ball gun that you just used to beat upyour little brother this weekend, is okay to bring to school? Think again!

Plan on soaking your best friend? Using your car, your backpack, and your lunch box to store those fun squirt guns? If you get caught with anything like this, YOU are in BIG trouble.

To the security guard’s, anything that represents a weapon will be asking for punishment. School officials say they won’t hold back and the student will be sent strait to the office to suffer the consequences.

“Its accessible during the day, said Ms. Tomika Bethea. Activities director. “If a student gets upset or angry and chooses to be violent, they can go to their car. That the big problem.”

Having a weapon in your car or anywhere else on campus is against school rules, and poses a threat to our students. DV’s security guards can do random checks. While that does NOT mean that they do it every day, taking a chance may not be worth it.

If a security guard spots anything that looks threatening or looks like a weapon they will call the student down. Once at your car you are told to unlock it.Once the item is found you are not allowed to touch the item.

So you may be wondering… So what if I get in trouble? No big deal. That squirt gunfight was fun right? Sorry but no. Unless you like dealing with the police, and getting expelled from school. Fell free.
